Full description
Granite Way Holds is an offline speed-climbing game about one thing: stamina. The wall scrolls upward, the holds are bolted where they are bolted, and your grip is draining from the second you pull on. Read the line, move rhythmically, and get to the chains before your forearms give out. Every hold treats you differently. A jug is deep and friendly - long reach, and you actually claw grip back while you hang on it. A pocket is the honest workhorse. A crimp is a fingertip edge with a short reach and a fast burn, so you had better know your next move before you take it. A sloper is pure friction: it burns fastest of all, and if you hesitate on one your hand simply slides off. Volumes are big wall features you can stem against for a steady stamina trickle - your rest stops, if you planned them into the route. Tap the hold you want, or drag towards it and let go. Your lower hand goes there and the other stays on as the anchor. The dashed chalk circle around your anchoring hand is exactly how far the free hand may travel, and it shrinks and grows with the hold you are hanging from. Stretch a little past it and you slip. Stretch a lot past it and the reach simply fails and you come off onto the rope. The catch is that hesitation compounds. The longer you sit still, the faster the same hold burns you, so caution is not a strategy. Rhythm is. THREE WALLS Speed route - a hand-authored line of forty-two holds, identical every single time. Learn the sequence, iron out the pauses and race your own best time to the summit. Endless wall - holds are streamed above you and the mix hardens as you climb. Jugs thin out, crimps and slopers creep in. Every generated hold is verified to be reachable from the hold below it before it is ever placed, so the wall is always climbable - it just stops being kind. Route reading - the wall is lit for three seconds, then the holds fade to ghosts and you climb from memory. It lights again each time you gain a screen of height, so read the next section while you still can. WHAT ELSE IS IN THERE Five tabs: the wall itself, a climb log with your best speed time, best heights, slips per run and a breakdown of which hold types you actually use, a route board for picking your mode, an illustrated explainer of every hold type and how stamina works, and fourteen wall badges to chase. Everything is drawn live with vector graphics - granite speckle, coloured plastic holds, chalk dust and a climber positioned by real two-limb geometry. There is not a single image file in the app. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF YOUR WAY Completely offline. The app has no internet permission and never talks to a server. No adverts, ever. No pop-ups, no interstitials, no rewarded videos. No sound at all. Nothing to mute, nothing to forget to mute. Feedback comes through visuals and an optional short haptic buzz you can switch off. No accounts, no sign-in, no tracking, no analytics. Your bests, stats and badges are stored on your device and survive a restart. Small download, portrait only, and it works on a plane, on the underground or in a gym basement with no signal. Suitable for all ages: no gambling, no violence, no in-app purchases of any kind.
