Full description
Hard Days is a self-care app for the days that are hard to get through — grief, burnout, chronic illness, caregiving, stress, or just a bad stretch. No streaks. No scores. It isn't a mood tracker that grades you, and it won't ask you to be better than you were yesterday. Put it down for a month, pick it up again, and nothing is lost. WHAT'S INSIDE Check-In — A quiet daily check-in on how today is actually going: how much you can hold, what's asking for attention, what feels heaviest. Choose words instead of finding the right explanation. Gaps cost you nothing. Your Kit — The people who help and the things that help, written down while you have the room, so they're ready on a day you don't. Each time you reach for one, tap whether it helped. What Helped — Your own coping strategies, reflected back: what has helped you, how often, and — once there's enough to go on — what time of day. It says plainly when it needs a few more times before it can see a pattern. Make It Smaller — Take something you're dreading and break it into steps small enough to start. For the days when everything feels like too much. Messages — Find the words when you can't: cancelling plans, asking for room, checking in on someone. Drafted on your device. Days Ahead — Mark the dates you can already see coming, so they arrive with more room around them. Journal — Longer entries for when you have more to say. Encrypted. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your journal entries are encrypted. There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and nothing here is sold to anyone. One subscription covers mobile and website access. Delete your account and everything in it from inside the app. You decide when: right away, or 7 or 30 days from now if you want time to change your mind. You can cancel a scheduled deletion any time before then. IF TODAY IS AN EMERGENCY Hard Days is a self-care and coping tool, not a crisis service, a therapist, or a replacement for medical care. If you need someone now, the app has a Call 988 button that opens your phone's dialer with the number ready, and a button to text the Crisis Text Line. In the US, you can call or text 988 at any time. ABOUT SUBSCRIPTIONS Hard Days is free to download and try. A subscription opens up the full app. Manage or cancel it any time in your Google Play account.

What's new

What Helped now shows what has actually helped you: tap "this helped" on anything in your kit, and it counts how often — and, once there's enough to go on, what time of day. Longer entries now live under Journal. And if you forget your password, you can set a new one after signing in with an emailed code.
