Levante: Motorcycle Weather

The rain you hit at km 40 at 3:20pm — not "afternoon rain" in general. Levante answers whether you can ride: right now, where you are, and along the way to where you're going. WEATHER ON YOUR ROUTE, AT THE HOUR YOU PASS THROUGH Any app tells you the weather in a city. Levante computes your route and checks the weather on each leg at the hour you'll actually be there. Colour-coded track on the map (dry, drizzle, rain, heavy), rain peak, wind and gusts with direction relative to you (head, cross, tail), route minimum temperature, and arrival before or after sunset. HONESTY FIRST When the data isn't good enough, the app stays silent instead of guessing — no reassuring green over data that doesn't exist. Every value says where it comes from ("values for this area, ~2 km around"). The forecast is, and will remain, free — that is the promise the app has made from day one. Levante is free to start; some features will come as a subscription, and none of them locks the forecast. BIKE PARKED OUTSIDE When you arrive at your lodging, Levante tells you whether the bike can stay outside and until when — "no rain expected until 11pm" — or suggests shelter if rain comes before your next ride. WHAT IF YOU LEAVE LATER? Compare the same route for several departure times in one tap — no new downloads — and spot the best window to dodge the rain. A MOTORCYCLE INDEX, BUILT FOR TWO WHEELS It's not just "will it rain": road surface, crosswind, cold at speed, visibility and low sun all count, with thresholds tuned for riders. A 24-hour timeline with the day's best window, and a 7-day outlook. TRIP MODE A riding screen with spoken turns, rain-ahead warnings with an escape tip ("stop for twenty minutes and you'll miss it"), and fixed speed cameras under one serious rule: they appear in ELEVEN countries and nowhere else — Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the UK. Those are the ones whose law we actually read, one by one, and each one dictates its own shape: in Switzerland we show nothing, in France only wide alert zones, in Germany the choice is yours. In every other country in the world speed cameras stay OFF by default — not because they aren't there, but because we haven't read the law yet, and we would rather stay quiet than take a chance. CALENDAR AND SAVED ROUTES Save a trip with a future departure and it sits in your calendar with the day's verdict. Turn on "watch" and THE NEXT TIME YOU OPEN THE APP it tells you, once, if the weather class has changed (dry to rain) — no spam. It is a check on opening, not a background alarm: with your phone in your pocket and the app closed, nothing will buzz. A history of completed rides, kept on your device.
