Then add what GPS can never know — the garage level, the pillar or bay number, the colour of the zone, a note like "near gate 3". When it is time to leave, a live compass needle points straight at your car and counts down the distance as you walk. A NOTE ON ACCURACY The compass needs a GPS fix, so give the phone a moment in the open before you save a spot — Park & Find will refuse to save rather than pin your car to the wrong place. Underground car parks often have no satellite reception at all; in that case save the spot at the entrance and use the level and pillar fields to fill in the rest. The meter reminder uses a battery-friendly alarm, so on an idle phone it can fire a few minutes after the exact expiry time. Set the timer a little short if you are parked somewhere strict.
