Full description
FrogPoint is a pit desk for people who run a model railroad. Open the pit and drag the lever onto a notch, or tap Normal, Mid, or Reverse. A locked turnout stays where it is until you unlock it. The yard lists every turnout: name, place, frog number, and a short note. Filter by normal, mid, reverse, or locked. Open one to edit the card, set the gauge, read the throw log, or set it beside another turnout. The book includes the ladder, the mill, the harbor, the ice house, the team track, the grain elevator, the interchange, and the engine house. The week is a pair of rails with a sleeper for each day. A busier day grows a taller sleeper. Tap a day to see which turnouts moved. The atlas covers stub, split switch, three-way, slip, catch, spring, wye, crossover, lap, equilateral, double slip, derail, and ladder. The dwell timer holds a route while you check ties, the lamp, the frog, the seated points, and whether the road has been called. In the cabin, keep your name, the home yard, how long a route should dwell, and whether the frog is sharp, standard, or broad. Switch between day and night, walk the tour again, or bring the sample turnouts back. Call a train order against the turnout that is lined. Morning Express, the mail, and the work train want the straight road. The mill turn, the coal extra, the harbor job, the grain extra, and the house engine want the diverging road. Each order shows Ready, Hold, or Wrong road before you call it. A halfway throw or a lock holds the train. Lock the blades when ice, a work crew, a standing car, or a broken rod makes the points unsafe. Unlock them when the road is clear again. Read the signal before you release a train. Stop means the points are locked. Approach means the blades are only halfway. Clear means the lined road is free. Before you release a train, walk the points: read the lamp, look for wheels, seat the blades, and hold the route. The frog book matches a number to the place, from a sharp mill spur to a long mainline crossover. The route board shows which road is clear on every turnout in the yard. Tap a row to bring that turnout into the pit.
