Full description
Set a session length and the intervals to repeat. Pip marks each one with a cue you can hear — over your music, with headphones, through a pocket, with the screen off. INTERVAL WALKING, READY TO GO Three minutes brisk, three minutes gentle, repeated for thirty minutes. It is the pattern people have started calling Japanese walking, and it is one tap from the main screen. No setup, no reading required. BUILT FOR ANY CYCLE, NOT JUST TWO Most interval timers assume work and rest, sets and rounds. Pip takes any sequence you like — 30/20/10, a ladder up, a pyramid, whatever you are actually doing — and repeats it until your session time is up. YOU CAN HEAR IT Cues are built to cut through whatever else is playing, and they play through your headphones when you have them connected. Your music can pause for the few seconds around each interval and come back on its own, dip instead, or be left alone entirely. Your choice. WORKS WITH THE SCREEN OFF The timer keeps exact time with the phone locked and pocketed. A countdown pips you into each change, so nothing arrives unannounced, and a card on your lock screen lets you check or stop a session without unlocking. ON YOUR WRIST, WITHOUT YOUR PHONE Pip runs on Wear OS as a full app, not a remote control for this one. Build a session on the watch, or set one up here and send it across, then leave the phone at home. Cues come through the watch speaker or your headphones, a tile and a watch face complication start a session without opening anything, and the watch keeps its own workouts and history. You can also send an interval session from your phone to your watch with the touch of a button. A TILE AND A COMPLICATION Pip includes a Wear OS tile, so your saved session is one swipe from the watch face and starts with a tap. It also includes a watch face complication showing that session, which opens the app when you tap it. Neither needs the app to be running first. NO ACCOUNT. NO ADS. NO TRACKING. Pip does not collect anything, does not phone home, and works entirely offline. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to switch off. WHAT IS IN IT • Any cycle of intervals, repeated to fill a session of any length • One-tap interval walking, and presets for common patterns • Save workouts by name and start them again in one tap • A Wear OS app that runs on its own or with sessions sent from your phone • A Wear OS tile and a watch face complication for starting a session • Spoken countdown and interval numbers, if you want them • A head start so you can pocket the phone before the first interval • Halfway chime, vibration, eight color themes, light and dark • A history of every session you have run Pip is a timer. It does not track your route, your heart rate, or your steps, and it never asks who you are.

What's new

Cues land in time with the countdown, including on Bluetooth headphones, and the spoken numbers arrive with them rather than just after. The Main screen button on the running screen is easier to find, and your session keeps running while you are there. Updates arrive the first time you open Pip, and new versions are offered in the app. Better layouts on tablets, and a smaller, faster app.
