Tune-Up helps runners understand, with their own data, how each type of training they do evolves over time. Sync your Garmin activities (via your .fit files) and Tune-Up automatically classifies them into ten training types: Run, Zone 2, Intervals, Tempo/Threshold, Fartlek, Hill Repeats, Long Run, Progression, Recovery, and Race. Classification is based on objective rules applied to your data — relative heart rate, pace, structure, and elevation — never on the name you gave the activity. WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH TUNE-UP - See the real evolution of each training type over time, with the metrics that actually matter for that kind of session. - Adjust how Tune-Up reads your training when the default criteria don't match your terrain or perceived effort, with a preview of the impact before applying the change. - Work with thresholds relative to your own profile (heart rate reserve, threshold pace), not generic tables — the classification makes sense whether you're an elite or a recreational runner. WHO IT'S FOR For runners who already train with some regularity and do more than one type of session — intervals, easy runs, long runs, tempo — and want to understand their own process. It doesn't matter if you train on your own or with a coach: Tune-Up doesn't replace anyone, it helps you see more clearly what you're already doing. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Tune-Up doesn't ask you to create an account. Everything the app uses comes from your Garmin account, and it stays stored on your device: it's never uploaded to a server or shared with anyone. Tune-Up isn't a social network. There are no public profiles, no comparing yourself to other runners, no activity feed. It doesn't generate future training plans either — it's a clear mirror of what you've already run, so you decide what comes next.
