Full description
Every story has more than one side. Factlen shows you all of them. Factlen reads the day's news the way a careful analyst would: it maps the distinct perspectives on a story, cites the source behind each claim, and draws a clear line between what is established and what is still uncertain. You get the whole picture in a few minutes instead of one outlet's version of it. WHAT YOU GET • Perspective map — every significant viewpoint on a story, side by side and colour-coded, so you can see the spread at a glance • Sourced claims — each point traces back to where it came from • Known vs. uncertain — separated explicitly, never blurred together • Reader mode — a clean typographic reading view with nothing else on the screen • Listen — have any story read aloud in an available system voice, with a lock-screen player and background playback • Offline — saved stories stay readable on a plane or underground • Search — find any story by topic, source or term • Rewards — earn points for reading and taking part ON-DEVICE INTELLIGENCE Summaries, translation and text recognition run on your device using the system's built-in models. Nothing is uploaded for those features, they work with no connection, and every line they produce is labelled — it is added alongside the editorial analysis, never in place of it. FREE TO READ Reading is free and no account is required — Factlen opens straight into the news. Signing in is optional and adds sync, comments and the rewards club. MEMBERSHIP Factlen Plus removes the ads and lets you tune your feed by sub-topic, mood, importance, region and kind of story. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Price and any introductory offer are shown in the app for your region before you confirm. HOW THE PERSPECTIVE MAP WORKS Most news apps hand you one outlet's version of a story and leave the bias for you to guess at. Factlen does the opposite: it groups the day's coverage by claim, shows which outlets stand where, and labels the spread so you can compare news bias the way you would compare prices — side by side, with the difference visible. You see the sourced claim first, then who disputes it and on what grounds. If what you have been looking for is a multiple perspectives news reader rather than one more single-outlet feed, that is the whole design. WHAT YOU CAN FOLLOW • World news — conflicts, elections, treaties and the reporting around them • Politics — legislation, courts, campaigns and the competing readings of each • Business and economy — rates, markets, jobs, and what the numbers actually show • Tech — platforms, regulation, AI and security, without the press-release voice • Science and health — findings reported with the uncertainty left in LISTEN WITH YOUR DEVICE’S VOICES Follow the headlines, then play an article as audio. To listen to news offline, save the article and install a compatible system voice. Read articles aloud with available system voices, playback speed, pause and part controls. Background playback and media controls keep your place. Offline listening requires a saved article and a compatible voice installed on the device. Voice quality and language availability depend on your speech engine; network voices require an explicit choice. "UNBIASED" IS A METHOD HERE, NOT A SLOGAN There is no such thing as an unbiased news source, and Factlen does not claim to be one. What it does is show the bias rather than deny it: every viewpoint is named, every claim is traced to a source, and the line between established fact and open question is drawn on the page where you can check it yourself.
