Full description
Persian news, read the way a careful analyst would read it. Koohestun takes the day's Persian-language news and lays out every significant perspective on a story side by side, cites the source behind each claim, and draws a clear line between what is established and what is still uncertain. In a few minutes you have the whole picture instead of one outlet's version of it. WHAT YOU GET • Perspective map — every significant viewpoint on a story, side by side and colour-coded • Sourced claims — each point traces back to where it came from • Known vs. uncertain — separated explicitly, never blurred together • Reader mode — clean Persian typography, right-to-left, with Persian numerals • Listen — any story read aloud in your device's best natural voice, with a lock-screen player and background playback • Offline — saved stories stay readable with no connection • Search that understands Persian text — ك and ي match ک and ی, so a query typed on an Arabic keyboard still finds the article • Rewards — earn points for reading and taking part ON-DEVICE INTELLIGENCE Summaries, translation and text recognition run on your device using the system's built-in models. Nothing is uploaded for those features, they work with no connection, and every line they produce is labelled — added alongside the editorial analysis, never in place of it. Translation is also what makes the app usable if your Persian is rusty: the article stays Persian and the device renders it in your language as you read. FREE TO READ Reading is free and no account is required. Signing in is optional and adds sync, comments and the rewards club. A membership removes the ads and opens the full archive; one purchase covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV, and the price for your region is shown before you confirm. LANGUAGE The app's interface, its articles and its analysis are entirely in Persian (Farsi), laid out right-to-left. There is no English interface. If you do not read Persian, the on-device translation can render articles in your language while you read. WHAT THE SCREEN ACTUALLY SAYS The interface is Persian, so here is the short glossary that makes it navigable on day one: اخبار is the news feed, تحلیل is the analysis view where the perspectives sit side by side, دیدگاه is a single viewpoint with the outlet behind it, and بی‌طرف is the label on a claim that every side reports the same way. Those four words are most of the navigation. The language itself is فارسی — Farsi — and the app never switches out of it. WHAT YOU CAN FOLLOW • Iran — domestic politics, the economy, society, and how differently outlets tell the same event • Tehran and the provinces — the local reporting that national coverage skips • The region and the world — the stories that reach Persian speakers wherever they live • Economy — currency, markets, inflation, and what the numbers actually show • Technology — the internet, filtering, AI and security WHY "COMPARE" IS THE FEATURE, NOT A SETTING Persian-language coverage is unusually split: state outlets, diaspora broadcasters and independent reporters describe the same afternoon in incompatible ways. An app that picks one and calls it the news is choosing a side and hiding the choice. Koohestun instead puts them next to each other, names each one, and shows the bias rather than claiming to have none — you compare the framing yourself, with the source of each claim one tap away. WHAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY SEARCH FOR Most readers arrive looking for a Persian news app; what this is, more precisely, is a Persian reader that shows every side of a story instead of one. Saved stories keep working as Farsi news offline. FOR READERS WHOSE PERSIAN IS RUSTY The articles stay Persian; your device's built-in translation can render them in your language as you read, on-device and with no connection. Nothing about the app is translated — the reading is. Terms: https://koohestun.com/terms · Privacy: https://koohestun.com/privacy © 2026 Koohestun
