The Giving List

The Giving List makes gift coordination simple for any group: families, friends, coworkers, roommates, etc... Create shared gift lists, coordinate purchases, and eliminate the stress of duplicate gifts for holidays, birthdays, and special occasions. SURPRISES STAY SURPRISES This is the rule the whole app is built around: you can never see who has claimed something from your own list. Browse freely, add what you like, and let everyone else coordinate behind the scenes. The one exception is your own children. Parents see everything for the kids they manage, because someone has to. SHARED GIFT LISTS Create wish lists for yourself and for your children. Add items with links and notes. Group members can view lists and coordinate purchases without spoiling anything. Belong to as many groups as you like. SMART PURCHASE COORDINATION Claim items anonymously or with your name visible. See what others have already claimed so nobody buys the same gift twice. Your claims follow you across every group you belong to. BUILT FOR PHONES, FOLDING PHONES, AND TABLETS On large screen devices, The Giving List opens into a two-pane layout. Browse your group on one side and read someone's wish list on the other, without losing your place. Rotate or resize and it adapts. On a phone it stays simple and focused. GROUP MANAGEMENT Join multiple groups with simple invite codes. Families, friend groups, work gift exchanges, college roommates - any group that exchanges gifts. Admins manage membership and group settings. EVENT PLANNING Add birthdays, holidays and special occasions. Get a reminder a week ahead so there is time to shop, and another on the day itself. ACTIVITY FEED See when members join, add items to their lists, or add a child. CHILDREN'S LISTS Keep separate lists for your children so the group can coordinate birthday and holiday gifts, while you stay in control of their profiles. NUDGE SYSTEM Send a friendly reminder to someone whose list is looking empty before a birthday or holiday. MAKE IT YOURS Choose from a range of backgrounds and colours, or switch on Christmas mode when the season arrives. PERFECT FOR - Holiday gift exchanges: Christmas, Hanukkah, office parties - Family coordination: parents, grandparents, siblings, extended family - Friend groups: birthdays, graduations, weddings - Workplace events: Secret Santa, retirement parties, baby showers - College groups: dorm mates, study groups, sororities, fraternities - Special occasions: anniversaries, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day HOW IT WORKS 1.
