Full description
Your family is losing its home. The answer may be buried beneath it. Mario has just returned from MIT to his family’s old vineyard estate in Italy. The harvest is failing, his father has been attacked, and the Mallum corporation is buying up the valley one property at a time. Fortunately, Mario’s father left one thing ready to go: a homemade underground digger. What begins as a desperate search for something valuable beneath the family land soon becomes something much larger. Ancient artifacts. A buried glowing city. Traces of a civilization that should not exist. And eventually, a road leading far beyond Earth. Dig for Home is an arcade digging adventure about exploration, engineering, family, risk, and the stubborn refusal to let strangers decide what your home is worth. • Pilot an upgradeable underground digger through a procedural world of geological and cultural layers. • Drill sideways and down, carve permanent tunnels, and turn old mistakes into new routes. • Balance fuel, heat, hull damage, cargo space, money, and the very important question of how you are getting back home. • Recover ore, fossils, artifacts, and strange discoveries for the family collection and museum. • Upgrade your digger from a battered family machine into technology capable of surviving environments it was never meant to reach. • Fight corporate drones and uncover the truth behind the buried Atlantean complex. • Meet Kate, Mario’s partner, engineer, weapons operator, and fellow MIT graduate, and take on the deeper expeditions together. • Follow a story that grows from a threatened vineyard to ancient technology, Mars, and a functioning passage between worlds. • Return home between expeditions to a family that argues, jokes, cooks, worries, flirts, and somehow treats interplanetary archaeology as just another problem to solve before dinner. The current build focuses on the core expedition loop: dig, explore, haul, surface, sell, upgrade, and push deeper. Additional campaign scenes, encounters, balance, sound, and polish are still in development. No ads. No account. No analytics. No cloud tracking. Just a family, a vineyard, a digging machine, several thousand years of buried trouble, and the growing suspicion that home may be much bigger than anyone thought.
