Hometape: simple video editor

Bring your family videos together, like sitting down to watch an old family tape. Make a movie from a day together, a birthday, a holiday or a trip. Hometape helps you stitch the moments on your phone or tablet into a story that is easy to watch, share and keep. Choose videos from Photos or Files. Arrange them in your own order, trim the parts you want and rotate a clip if it appears the wrong way up. Give your movie a beginning with one of eight animated intros, then add your title, subtitle and date. Choose a transition and set its pace. Balance quiet and loud clips for comfortable listening. Hometape keeps the picture and sound in step, including clips with no sound. Make a landscape or vertical movie at 720p, Full HD or 4K, depending on your device's encoder. Processing can continue in the background, with a progress notification and a Cancel action. Save the finished movie to Photos or share it with an app you choose. Your first full movie is free and includes the Hometape mark. Hometape Unlimited is one purchase that unlocks more full movies without the mark. Previews let you check your choices before making the full movie. AI control lets compatible trusted apps and agents request movies through Android's local app actions. You approve each connection and every purchase. Agent-made movies use the same first-free allowance and Hometape mark as the editor; later full movies need Unlimited. Compatible desktop AI clients can also use MCP with the desktop versions. Your videos stay on your device. Hometape has no account or behavioural analytics. Technical reports are on by default only for users who confirm they are 18 or older, and can be turned off in Settings. Android purchases use Google Play. Hometape works on Android phones and tablets, with a responsive workspace and support for the formats your device can decode.
