PoolRound: Pool Service Route

PoolRound is a route book for a residential pool service tech. It keeps the day's stops in driving order, the water readings and chemicals at each pool, a photo of the water and the equipment, the service card the customer gets after the visit, and the statement at the end of the month. THE DAY'S ROUTE Build a route for each day of the week and drag the stops into the order you drive them. Each stop shows the customer, the pool size, the gate code and a note about the dog before you open the gate. Open the address in your maps app, or call the customer, from the stop. A rained-out day moves every stop that is not done to tomorrow in one tap, and any stop can be skipped with a reason or moved to another day. THE STOP Type free chlorine, combined chlorine, pH, alkalinity, CYA, calcium, salt, cell output and water temperature in large number tiles that turn green or coral against each pool's target ranges. The saturation index is worked out from the standard temperature, calcium and alkalinity factor tables, with a third of the CYA taken off the alkalinity, and shown on a dial as a number to read. Each pool keeps its own history of readings. THE ARITHMETIC For a reading outside its range, PoolRound shows the quantity worked out from the reading, the target, the pool's volume and the strength of the product you carry: liquid chlorine, cal-hypo, dichlor, trichlor, muriatic or dry acid, soda ash, bicarbonate, calcium chloride, stabilizer and salt. Each figure shows the reading, target and volume used. Acid quantities are rounded down in the calculation. You decide whether and how much to add. THE SERVICE CARD Tick the work done (skim, brush, vacuum, baskets, filter, equipment), record the chemicals added, take a water photo and an equipment photo, and flag a repair. After the visit, send the customer a text with the readings and work done, or a PDF service card with the photos, straight from the stop. MONTHLY STATEMENTS Bill a flat monthly rate or per visit. Add repairs and extras such as a filter cartridge. Make every customer's statement for the month in one go, share each as a PDF with that month's readings, and record payments by check, cash, card, Zelle or Venmo. Payments settle the oldest statement first, and the owed list shows who is past 30 and 60 days. CHEMICAL COST PER CUSTOMER Enter what you pay per gallon or pound and PoolRound adds up the chemical cost of every visit, then shows each customer's monthly chemical cost against what they pay.
