Care Circle

Care Circle is a family safety and parental control application designed to help parents manage app accesses on their child's device. The app allows a parent and child device to establish a connection using a unique linking code. Once connected, the parent can view the apps installed on the child's device and configure which apps should be restricted. Key Features Parent & Child Linking Select the appropriate role to get started. A parent can generate a unique sharing code, which must be manually entered on the child device to establish the connection. The child device cannot be linked automatically or without the sharing code. The child must manually enter the code provided by the parent and complete the required in-app steps. Care Circle requires user consent before proceeding through each relevant setup and linking step. App Monitoring & Locking Care Circle allows a parent to view the apps installed on the child's device and configure restrictions for specific apps. Care Circle uses the Android AccessibilityService API to provide its app-locking functionality. The service detects the package name of the application currently in the foreground and checks whether that application has been restricted by the parent. If a restricted application is opened, Care Circle displays its own lock screen to prevent access to the restricted application. Care Circle does not hide, uninstall, disable, or delete applications from the child's device. Restricted applications remain installed on the device; Care Circle only prevents access to them while the restriction is active. The foreground application package name used for the real-time restriction check is processed locally on the child's device and is not transmitted for that purpose. The list of installed apps is securely shared with the linked parent device so the parent can view and configure app restrictions. Persistent Monitoring Notice While monitoring is active, Care Circle displays a persistent notification on the child's device to clearly indicate that monitoring is running. Consent-Based Setup Care Circle is designed around user awareness and consent. Users are informed and required to provide consent before proceeding through each relevant setup, linking, and monitoring step. The child device must actively participate in the linking process by manually entering the sharing code generated by the parent device. Simple Setup No account or sign-in is required. Choose a parent or child role and follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup. Privacy Focused Care Circle is designed to minimize the information required to use the application. The current version does not require users to create an online account or provide personal information such as a name, email address, or phone number. Important Care Circle is intended for use by parents or legal guardians to manage app access on their children's devices, with the child's knowledge and consent. The application is not designed or marketed for monitoring spouses, partners, employees, or other adults. Care Circle does not hide or delete applications from the child's device.
