Zeitlicht: Focus & Tasks

What an ADHD brain needs is what every workflow benefits from. Zeitlicht is a board for tasks, notes and a focus timer with a light pillar. It follows findings from ADHD and attention research: fewer open loops, one visible next step, time you can actually see. That helps people with ADHD, and it helps everyone else just as much. Because in the end this is not about more output. It is about knowing what you spent your day on, instead of going to bed with the feeling that the day got away from you. ONE TASK IN FOCUS The Focus column holds exactly one task. Move a second one in and the first goes back. No multitasking theatre, no priority list with forty entries. One thing, already decided. THE LIGHT PILLAR The timer does not count digits, it burns down. A pillar of light shows how much time is left, visible in the corner of your eye without demanding a stare. Fixed duration or Pomodoro with rounds and breaks. The task in Focus drives the timer, a sound closes the session. Seven sounds to choose from. HYPERFOCUS One switch and the board collapses. Focus and Done stay, everything else folds away. Cards outside Focus soften and cannot be opened. The board comes back on its own once the focused card lands in Done. THE BOARD Columns from Bunch through Week and Today to Focus and Done. Every column except Done can carry a limit: by task count, by Fibonacci estimate or by time estimate. Going over is a hint, never a block. Filter by topic, tag, person and priority. MODULES INSTEAD OF FORMS A new task starts as nothing but a title. Add what you need: due date, priority, estimate, checklist, recurrence. What you do not need, you never see. RECURRING TASKS Daily, on chosen weekdays, on a day of the month or once a year. Due tasks move to the top of their target column overnight, checkmarks and checklists reset. Whatever sits in Focus is left alone. NOTES AND LINKS Notes are full documents, searchable and pinnable. Tasks, notes and topics can link to each other, and the editor suggests mentions as you type. The thought that belongs to a task stays findable. CHECKLISTS AND ATTACHMENTS Checklists on any task, with single items assignable to members. Images, documents, video and audio right on the card. Images are compressed and get a thumbnail. WORK TOGETHER Your own workspaces with members and roles. Invite by email, assign tasks and checklist items, duplicate a task, even into another workspace. YOUR DATA Database, files and server functions run in Frankfurt, Germany (europe-west3). No advertising trackers, no selling your content. Zeitlicht is a productivity tool, not a medical device.
