This way, the total free trial period is capped at 14 days. When a user upgrades from the monthly plan with a 7- day free trial to the yearly plan with a 14-day free trial, we extend their trial period by the remaining unused days of their current trial, capped at rhe total trial period of the new plan. This ensures that users benefit from an extended trail without exceeding the 14- day free trail offered for the yearly plan. The trial does not restart entirely, preventing potential abuse and excessive costs.
