AFS Connect

AFS Connect is the contractor workforce app for Austral Facility Services (AFS). It is used by cleaning, security and site-services personnel engaged through contractor companies that supply AFS client sites. AFS Connect is provided to contractor staff by invitation. You need an activation code from your contractor company or from AFS to set up an account. It is not a general-purpose or public app. WHAT YOU CAN DO - See the shifts available to you, with site, area, date and time - Claim a shift, or release one you can no longer work - View shift details, including the site address and your AFS site contact - Clock in when you arrive on site and clock out when you finish - Continue a shift after a break - Review your own attendance history and export it as a CSV or PDF file - Update your mobile number, read the privacy notice, and delete your account FOR CONTRACTOR MANAGERS A manager account adds a Team view: see your company's staff, invite new starters, assign shifts to your team, and remove people who have left. HOW ON-SITE ATTENDANCE WORKS When you clock in or clock out, AFS Connect checks your device location against the boundary of your assigned site. - Location is read only at the moment you clock in or clock out. The app does not track your location in the background or when it is closed. - You can decline the location permission and still use the app and still clock in and out. - If you are outside the site boundary, or location is unavailable, the app still records your clock-in or clock-out. It is flagged for review rather than blocked. - If you are offline, the event is stored on your device, encrypted, and sent automatically when you reconnect. AFS Connect is not a payroll app. You are paid by your employer under your own engagement terms. Your attendance records in the app are a record of app activity, not a payslip. PRIVACY Recording location at clock-in and clock-out is workplace surveillance. AFS issues a separate Workplace Surveillance Notice, and the app asks you to acknowledge a location and attendance notice when you activate your account.
