A hex board of 37 rings that shrinks every turn. Place a stone on any empty ring, then wane one empty ring from the current edge of the field. The arena never grows back, so every move you make is also a move against the space you have left to play in. HOW A TURN WORKS Place, then wane. You drop a stone on an empty ring, then pick an empty ring on the edge and remove it for good. Removed rings stay on the board as dashed ghost outlines, so you can always read the shape the field used to have. JUMPS ARE MANDATORY If a jump is available you must take it, and a stone that lands with another hop in front of it has to keep going. Chains are resolved by depth-first search, so one turn can sweep several rival stones off the field at once. Watch the amber rings: they mark the stones that are forced to move. WANING IS DEFENCE Removing the landing ring severs a jump line before it can start. That makes waning the sharpest defensive tool in the game and the clock on the whole match in a single action. Dashed teal rings show exactly which removals are legal right now. HOW YOU WIN Take six rival stones, or leave the rival with no legal move at all. The shallow tide plays for the tally in front of it; the deep tide reads further and will wane a ring you were counting on. THREE OPENING FIELDS Start on the full 37-ring board, on a pre-narrowed rim for a faster and sharper game, or on a mirrored seeded layout where both sides begin with stones already placed. Progress, settings and the round in play are stored on your device and survive a restart, so you can put the phone down mid-chain and pick the same position back up later.
