KhataNest is a simple offline credit ledger for small business owners who track customer dues and payments on their phone. Use KhataNest to maintain a local customer credit book without creating an account. Add customers, record dues, record full or partial payments, and see each customer’s outstanding balance in one place. What you can do with KhataNest: - Manage multiple businesses separately - Add customers with name and mobile number - Record dues and payments in INR - View customer-wise outstanding balances - Track overdue dues - Search customers by name or mobile number - Open each customer’s ledger history - Correct mistakes using reversal entries instead of deleting history - Share customer payment reminders through SMS or WhatsApp handoff - Generate customer statements as PDF - Export an encrypted backup file - Import a backup when moving to another device or reinstalling - Restore deleted businesses within the recovery period KhataNest is designed for local-first use. Your ledger data is stored on your device. The app does not require registration, login, cloud sync, or an online account for everyday ledger work. Important notes: - SMS and WhatsApp reminders open your device apps for review and sending. KhataNest does not send messages directly or track delivery. - Backup files are encrypted with the password you choose. Keep your backup password safe, because it is required to import the backup. - Importing a backup replaces the current local ledger after validation. - The app currently supports INR and India-style mobile numbers.
