Africa Pay is a companion app for your own Deriv account in Tanzania. Connect Deriv on Deriv's own sign-in page, see your Deriv balance read live from Deriv, check today's rates, and make deposit and withdrawal requests that Africa Pay, an independent Deriv payment agent, processes over mobile money and bank transfer. There is no Africa Pay wallet and the app keeps no balance of its own: every balance you see is read live from your Deriv account. YOUR DERIV ACCOUNT AT A GLANCE Home shows your Deriv balance with its value in shillings, your Deriv accounts, today's rates and your latest requests. Tap the eye to hide the amounts. DEPOSIT WITH MOBILE MONEY OR BANK TRANSFER Choose an amount in dollars or shillings and see what you will pay before you pay. Pay the Lipa or merchant number shown with M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas or Airtel Money, following the steps on screen, then enter the transaction ID from your confirmation SMS. You can also deposit by CRDB or NMB bank transfer and record the reference in the app. WITHDRAW TO MOBILE MONEY OR YOUR BANK Enter an amount in dollars, see the shillings you will receive, choose your mobile-money number or bank account, and approve the withdrawal with the 6-digit code Deriv emails you. Nothing leaves your Deriv account until you enter that code. TRANSFER BETWEEN YOUR OWN DERIV ACCOUNTS Move funds between the Deriv accounts in your own name. When the currencies differ, Deriv quotes a live rate before you confirm, and Deriv carries out the transfer. HOW YOUR REQUESTS ARE HANDLED For a deposit, you pay Africa Pay and Africa Pay credits your Deriv account in US dollars, at the deposit rate in force when it credits you, normally within minutes. For a withdrawal, Deriv moves the dollars from your Deriv account to Africa Pay once you enter the code, and Africa Pay pays you in Tanzanian shillings at the withdrawal rate shown. FOLLOW EVERY REQUEST Activity lists each deposit and withdrawal with its status, from request to completion, grouped by day. Africa Pay's margin is included in the rate, with no separate Africa Pay fee; your mobile-money network or bank may charge for its own services.
