كتاب شفاء العليل فس القضاء والقدر لابن القيم اجتهد فيه في إبراز الصواب في مسائل القضاء والقدر والحكمة والتعليل. فكان منهجه في ذلك أن بدأ أولاً في تقرير عقيدة أهل السنة، والحديث، في مسائل القضاء والقدر، من الكتاب والسنة الصحيحة، وآثار الصحابة والتابعين، وأقوال الأئمة المعتمدين، مع شرح لهذه الأحاديث والآثار، والتعليق عليها. وبيان معانيها. وقد عرض هذا بمعزل عن شبه تأويلات وإيرادات المخالفين دفعاً للبس والتشويش. فمن أراد عقيدة أهل السنة الجماعة خالصة نقية وجدها بالأبواب الستة عشر الأولى. ثم شرح بعد ذلك في إيراد شبه المخالفين وأولتهم، حيث دلل لهم، ربط القول في مذاهبهم، وشرحها لهم شرحاً وافياً، مع التزامه جانب الصدق بالقول والأمانة التامة بالنقل. ثم تناول هذه الشبه بالمناقشة والدراسة النقلية والعقلية واللغوية، فإن كان الدليل ضعيفاً بيّنه، وإن كان صحيحاً بيّن فساد فهمهم له، وتحريفهم له عن وجهه. وقد استخلص ابن القيم حق كل فرقة من باطلها، ورد على كل فرقة من اقوال الفرقة الأخرى ببراعة فائقة مع التنبيه على مواضع الخلل حيث وجدت وأسباب الضلال، ولماذا أضل هؤلاء، وانحرف أولئك، ملتزماً في كل ذلك جانب العدل والإنصاف والتقوى والورع. والكتاب مفهرس بالباب وهو مصور بصيغة بي دي اف، وكذلك مكتوب بصيغة الوورد بتنسيق الشاملة ويعمل بدون انترنت.
