Full description

The official app of Bab Ul Hawaij Islamic Centre in Mississauga. PRAYER TIMES Daily prayer times for the Greater Toronto Area, published by the Islamic Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaat (ISIJ) of Toronto. Imsak, Fajr, sunrise, Zuhr, sunset, Maghrib and shariah midnight, for any date you choose. The times work with no internet connection — the whole timetable is built into the app. Daylight saving is handled properly, so the times stay correct on the days the clocks change. THE ADHAN, ON TIME Turn on a reminder for Fajr, Zuhr or Maghrib and hear the adhan at the prayer time, recorded at the centre. Two recordings to choose from, and you choose how far ahead to be reminded. Reminders are off until you turn them on. CENTRE EVENTS Majalis, programmes and gatherings at BHIC, on a calendar you can browse by month. Set a reminder and the app will tell you the day before and an hour ahead. COMMUNITY EVENTS Members can post their own events — a majlis at home, a milad, a gathering — and the centre approves them before they appear. Choose whether to share your phone number with them. SERVICES What the centre offers, and how to arrange it: Nikkah, burial services, Ghusl-e-Mayyat, Commissioner of Oaths, the Baithak, and Zainabia Academy. MEDIA Recent majalis and lectures from the centre's YouTube channel. DONATE Support the centre through CanadaHelps. BHIC is a registered Canadian charity and donations are tax-receipted. -- Bab Ul Hawaij Islamic Centre 1893 Bonhill Road, Mississauga, ON L5T 1C1 bhic.ca
