Full description
The lunar calendar, always at hand, on your phone and tablet and on your home screen. Lunarette shows today's lunar date the way your tradition writes it, the whole month with every day's lunar date beneath it, the festivals and the 24 solar terms. Four traditions, each done properly Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese calendars are each reckoned at their own meridian, as their published calendars are, so the months begin on the right day even when the traditions disagree, as they did for Tết in 1985 and will for Seollal in 2027. Lunarette works it out from where the Moon and the Sun are, for any year from 1901 to 2099. Home screen widgets Small, medium and large widgets for the home screen, with today's lunar date, the year's animal, the next festivals and a little month. Each widget can show the tradition you choose. Every day in full See any day's lunar date, its heavenly stem and earthly branch, the month's and the year's, the year's animal, and for Japan the rokuyō. Festivals and solar terms The Spring Festival and Tết, the Lantern Festival, Qingming, the Dragon Boat Festival, Qixi, Vu Lan, Mid-Autumn, Chuseok, Tsukimi and more, with a countdown to the next ones. The 24 solar terms are marked in the month. Convert any date Solar to lunar and back, leap months included, ready to copy. Lunar reminders Remember an anniversary on its lunar date every year, or every 1st and 15th of the lunar month. Lunarette sends a notification on the right solar day each time, around the hour you choose, and a day ahead if you like. Add festivals to your calendar Share a calendar (.ics) file with the year's festivals and solar terms through the share sheet, and add them to the calendar app you choose. Lunarette never reads your calendars. Privacy No network access, no account, no tracking. Everything is calculated on your device, and your reminders stay there. Requires Android 8.0 or later.

What's new

Lunar dates now follow your language, with a Settings switch to show them in Chinese characters. Text and widgets are easier to read. Solar dates now always use the Gregorian months, even if your region's calendar is Hijri, Persian or Hebrew; Thai and Japanese years stay as they are. Reminders and the date converter work the same way.
