Rakkan - Chat Translator

Rakkan is a chat app for two people who don't share a language. It translates every message, and your live video-call captions, between your language and your partner's, so you can just talk. I built it for me & my girlfriend. She writes me in Thai, which I can't read, and I was stuck in the same loop every day: copy her message, translate it, read it, write back, translate again, paste. Our whole chat history sat in a language I couldn't understand. Google Translate didn't help much, it translates the words but not the meaning, the tone, or who you are to each other.
