Deafeny lowers your media volume in a straight line over the time you choose, then pauses whatever is playing and gets out of the way. No unlocking, no hunting for the pause button at 1 a.m. IT LIVES IN YOUR NOTIFICATION SHADE Tap the icon and Deafeny puts a small control panel in your notification shade instead of opening a screen. Pull down, set how long, pick the app you are listening to, tap Start. That is the whole routine. • How long: starts at 30 minutes, with − / + through 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 • Even collapsed, the notification keeps the length and Start on one row; a gear opens the full settings • Which app: YouTube or Twitch. Starting a fade opens the one you picked, so you land straight back in it • Pause: sends a pause to whatever is playing when the fade reaches the end • +15 min and Cancel right in the notification while a fade is running BUILT FOR BEDTIME • Runs with the screen off, on schedule, until it reaches silence • Turn the volume up mid-fade and it restarts the fade from there across the time that is left • Optional: put the volume back afterwards so the device is not silent in the morning.
