Full description

When someone dies, the people left behind have to organise a funeral while they are grieving. Most of us have never done it before and do not know where to start. Farewell was built in South Africa to walk you through it. IF SOMEONE HAS JUST PASSED AWAY A step-by-step guide takes you through the twelve things that need to happen: identifying your loved one, finding a funeral director near you, appointing an executor, creating a notice of passing and sharing funeral invitations with family on WhatsApp. You can keep personal notes on each step as you go. YOUR FUNERAL POLICY IN YOUR POCKET If your funeral parlour uses the Farewell Business platform, link your policy once by scanning the QR code from your broker. From then on your cover amount, monthly premium, payments, dependants and claims are always at hand, exactly as your parlour has them. Not linked yet? Browse the broker directory by province to find one near you. PLANNING AHEAD Record your own funeral wishes in a wishlist your family can open when the time comes, so nobody has to guess what you wanted. You can also request quotes for tombstones and unveilings, or design a glass memorial headstone on your phone and receive a quote. MEMORIALS AND PROGRAMS Memorial pages and funeral programs open straight from the QR code on a printed program or invitation. Family who cannot attend can still read the order of service and leave a tribute. Farewell is made for South Africa: Rand amounts, SAST dates and local funeral customs.

What's new

Glass memorials now cost 10% less when you request the quote in the app. Already have a quote from another supplier? Attach a photo or PDF of it and we'll quote 10% below a comparable price. You get whichever of the two is lower. Also includes small fixes and improvements.
