Unlike typical recipe apps that mix in localized adaptations, umami fixes the target at the origin region's everyday home cooking. "Korean living in Japan", "Japanese in Korea", and other bidirectional setups are all supported. DO NOT ADD list (our differentiator) The unique feature of umami. We explicitly call out ingredients that local cooks habitually add but the authentic origin recipe never includes (sugar in Mapo Tofu, milk in Shukmeruli, etc.) — the things that quietly push your dish away from the real flavor. Local supermarket constraint Recipes use only ingredients reliably available at large chain supermarkets in your current country (Aeon/Life in JP, Emart/Lotte Mart in KR, Wal-Mart/Yonghui in CN, Safeway/Kroger/Whole Foods in EN).
