Long Story Short is a news app with a daily word game. THE NEWS Every story is sixty words. Swipe up for the next one. Real reporting from real outlets, with the outlets named on every card, so you can tap through to the source. Pick the sections you care about and they come first. Local stories for where you live. No infinite feed: when you have read everything new, it says so. THE GAME One true sentence a day, from the news. Cut it to the five words that carry the story. Five tries. Blue is the right word in the right spot, orange the right word in the wrong spot. Keep a streak, earn stickers, share your result. Hard is a second, harder sentence each day, for subscribers. Every past sentence is there to play once you have unlocked the archive. STICKERS Eighty-five of them, for reading, playing, keeping streaks and sharing. Each one tells you how close you are. THE SMALL PRINT Sign in with email or Google to keep your streak, your sections and your saved stories on every phone. Nothing is sold about you.
