Waterline turns your rowing machine into a boat on open water. Connect over Bluetooth and every stroke moves a racing shell down a river. Pull harder and it runs faster. Ease off and it settles. Split, stroke rate and power sit across the top. FIVE CIRCUITS, AND NO FINISH LINE Every course is a closed loop, so you are never stopped. Row one lap or twenty - laps are timed at the gate, and your best is saved. - Emerald City - 5,000 m through a brick university city, under six bridges. - Copper Gorge - 6,000 m up a narrow sunrise canyon of steep red rock. - Emerald Karst - 12,000 m across a flooded valley of limestone towers. - Sentinel Gorge - 4,000 m through a canyon watched by guardians cut from the rock. - Sakura Valley - 21,097 m under cherry blossom. A half marathon, lap for lap. EVERY METRE COUNTS TOWARD SOMETHING One metre rowed is one experience point, so the number you already keep is the number that levels you up. A personal best or a finished challenge pays extra. You start in a club boat. Twenty-three more liveries and racing kits are earned rather than bought - some at a level, others by rowing a 2K test, a marathon, a million metres, or thirty days without missing one. No currency and no season pass: everything competitive is rowed for. ROW WITH A PACE BOAT, OR A COACH Set a target split from 3:00 down to 1:30 per 500 m. The pace boat holds it and shows how far up or down you are, metre by metre. Or switch to the coach, who rows alongside at your rate and talks the whole way - encouragement when you are on it, a word when you drift off. INTERVAL TRAINING, WITH SOMETHING TO ROW TO Build a session in a few taps - warm-up, efforts, pace, recovery, cool-down - and save it to row again. Targets and countdowns sit on screen, with a chime at every change so you never look up mid-stroke. Every effort is scored against its target. ROW ONLINE WITH OTHER PEOPLE Tap ROW ONLINE and you join whoever else is rowing your course, right now. No lobby, no invite codes - the courses are loops, so you appear on the water and row. A panel lists the nearest rowers with name, level, gap and pace. Pace boats are out at a spread of paces too - pick one and start off its stern with the whole row to reel it in. Everything else works offline: the pace boat, the coach, every course and every unlock. KEEP YOUR RECORDS Personal bests for 500 m, 1K, 2K, 5K, 10K and the half marathon, a best time on every course, and your longest run of days. Sign in with Google or Apple and all of it - history, records, level and unlocks - follows you to your next device. The account is optional and free, and a guest earns exactly the same things. SEND YOUR ROWS TO STRAVA Connect your Strava account once and Waterline offers to upload each piece you row. Distance, time, split, stroke rate, power, heart rate and calories go up as a rowing activity, second by second - and an interval session arrives with one lap per effort. It is a choice per row, never a default, and demo rows are never offered. Waterline is compatible with Strava. An account is optional. WEAR A HEART-RATE STRAP Any Bluetooth strap works, on the display and in the Strava upload. BUILT TO FEEL LIKE THE WATER A fully articulated rower - male or female - with the oars in their hands the whole stroke, blades that bite and release at the right moment, and real recorded river and birdsong. MADE FOR YOUR SCREEN Scale the display and choose which figures it shows - useful with the phone propped on the machine's rail. REQUIREMENTS - Android 10 or newer. - A rowing machine whose monitor broadcasts over Bluetooth Low Energy, remembered and reconnecting by itself. No machine?
