Full description
Nav Button brings back the classic Back, Home and Recents keys as an on-screen navigation bar you can reach with one hand, even on a tall phone. If swipe gestures feel slow or you keep missing the edge of the screen, put three simple keys right under your thumb. On a big phone the system navigation sits at the very bottom, and gestures ask you to swipe from an edge you can barely reach. Nav Button adds a compact row of soft keys you can slide to where your thumb rests. ▸ How it works 1. Open Nav Button, read the short note about the accessibility service and tap Agree. 2. Android opens its Accessibility settings. Switch on Nav Button there. 3. The keys appear at once. Drag them into place and adjust the look from the app's home screen. ▸ Three keys, one thumb • Back, Home and Recents in the familiar order, always one tap away. • Slide the bar up from the bottom edge so it sits where your thumb already is. • Prefer the side? The vertical bar snaps to the left or right edge. • Lock the position once it feels right, so a stray swipe never moves it. ▸ Add more when you want them • Notifications and Quick settings, without stretching to the top of the screen. • Power menu for restart and power off. • Lock screen and Screenshot on Android 9 and newer. The bar moves aside for the screenshot. • Pick only the keys you use and arrange them in your own order. All eight keys are free. ▸ Sized for your hand • Key size from 75% to twice the size of a standard system key. • Opacity from almost see-through to fully solid. • A short vibration confirms each press, and you can switch it off. • Prefer a single button? Switch to the floating ball and tap it to go back. ▸ Stays out of your way • The keys hide while the keyboard is open, so they never sit on top of what you are typing. • An optional setting hides them in full screen videos and games. • A quiet notification offers Show, Hide and Hide 10 s, and a Quick Settings tile toggles the keys from anywhere. • If Android stops the service to save battery, the app tells you how to bring the keys back. ▸ Good for • Large phones where the bottom bar is a stretch. • People who never got used to gesture navigation. • One-handed use on the bus, in bed or while carrying something. ▸ About the accessibility permission Nav Button uses Android's AccessibilityService API for one purpose: to perform the navigation action you tap (Back, Home, Recents, notifications, quick settings, power menu, lock screen or screenshot) and to draw its keys over other apps. No data is collected through the Accessibility API. The service cannot read your screen, does not see what you type and never taps or swipes on its own. It stays off until you switch it on, and you can switch it off at any time in Android Settings. ▸ Other permissions • Notifications (Android 13+): only for the Show / Hide notification. The keys work without it. • Internet: used to load ads, handle purchases and send anonymous usage counts and crash reports. ▸ Free and Premium Everything above is free. The free version shows a banner on the app's home screen and sometimes a full-screen ad when you return to it. Ads stay inside the app and never appear on the keys or over other apps. Premium removes all ads, adds long-press and double-tap actions to the floating ball, and unlocks four extra skins: Midnight, Chalk, Ember and Glass. Choose monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled anytime in Google Play. ▸ Privacy No account and no sign-up. Your keys, order, size, position and settings are kept on your phone only.

What's new

Improvements: • Simpler permissions: the app no longer asks for Photos or Storage access • Removed the "hide after any screenshot" option; the Screenshot key still hides the keys for you
