Full description
Everything the SFBB pack asks you to write down, kept on your phone. Free, no ads, no paid tier. Safer Food, Better Business (SFBB) is the Food Standards Agency pack most small UK caterers work to. It asks you to describe how your kitchen keeps food safe, and then to keep a daily record showing that you did it. The describing is a one-off. The daily record is the part that quietly falls behind, usually until somebody mentions an inspection. This app holds the whole pack. THE DAILY DIARY Opening and closing checks, plus any extra checks you add for your own equipment. Tick what you did, put your temperatures in, and the entry is signed with the name of whoever made it. The calendar shows which days are complete and which have gaps, so a quiet Tuesday three weeks ago gets noticed then, rather than on the morning an officer asks. TEMPERATURE RECORDS - SC2 fridge, freezer and chilled display - SC3 cooking, cooling and reheating - SC4 hot holding - Prove it checks, with the guideline temperatures on screen so nobody has to remember them ALL 31 SFBB SAFE METHODS Every safe method sheet in the pack, across cross-contamination, cleaning, chilling, cooking and management. You answer the questions for your own kitchen, mark the ones that do not apply and record why, and sign them. The app keeps track of which are done, so you can work through them a few at a time instead of in one long evening. THE ALLERGEN CHART Every dish against all 14 allergens, printed on the FSA's own landscape form. Change a recipe and the chart changes with it. STAFF TRAINING RECORDS One per person, covering the 30 SFBB training points the pack asks about, from the things somebody needs on their first day to the ones they pick up months in. THE REST OF THE PACK Cleaning schedule. Incident log. Suppliers and key contacts. Waste transfer notes for used cooking oil collections. And your own checklists and forms, for whatever the standard pack does not cover. INSPECTION DAY Choose a date range and your whole SFBB pack comes out as one PDF for the EHO. Wherever the FSA publishes a form, your records are printed straight onto it. The handful of things it has no form for, like the incident log, your deliveries and your own checklists, get a clean page of ours in the same pack. Print it, email it, or just hand over the phone. Any individual record can be exported on its own as well. YOUR TEAM, AND MORE THAN ONE SITE Invite your staff so their entries carry their own names. Run several establishments from one account and switch between them. CHECKING FOOD HYGIENE RATINGS Every food business in the UK sits on the FSA register. Look one up by name or address, or browse the map, and you get the official food hygiene rating and the date of the inspection it came from. That date is worth more attention than it usually gets. A 5 awarded last month and a 5 awarded in 2016 are published in exactly the same way. You can also follow the places you care about and get FSA food recall and allergy alerts. IT IS GENUINELY FREE All of it. No paid tier holding part of the pack back, no trial that runs out, and no ads. The guidance in the app is our reading of the SFBB pack, assured through our Primary Authority partnership with Buckinghamshire and Surrey Trading Standards. Your own local authority still has the final say on your food safety management system, as it always has. We are not the Food Standards Agency and we are not affiliated with them. We print onto their published forms where they publish one, and we use their published rating data. Claim your business in the app and your SFBB diary starts the same day.

What's new

This update squashes a couple of bugs. Exporting a long diary could crash, and so could adding photos. It also brings behind-the-scenes reliability improvements. Thanks for the reports that helped us find these.
