Platted Live

Platted is your rail buddy. Forward one booking email and it watches the train so you do not have to. From past patterns, trends and the live feed, it can usually predict your platform before any station board shows it. Some stations keep the platform off their screens until the last minute. If Platted knows it, you see it on your phone, marked as planned until it is confirmed. When it is confirmed, or if it changes, you get one alert. TRACKED CONNECTIONS • As you pull in, one alert: your next train, its platform, and how long you have to change • Each train is named as the station screens name it, and placed in your journey, "Train 1 of 2" • One card stays in your notifications for the train you are on: once you are moving with a change ahead, it shows the train you are on and your next train, with its platform and the minutes to change • If your change gets tight, it tells you once, with the next train on that route WHEN IT GOES WRONG • If your train is cancelled, one alert names the next train that gets you there, its platform and when it gets in, and says whether your ticket is valid on it • If your train is late, Platted says why, in the railway's own words • If the train that forms yours is running late, you hear before yours leaves DELAY REPAY If you arrive late enough to claim, one nudge says by how much and who to claim from, with the train company's own claim page. Previous journeys keeps what the claim form asks for, for 13 months: the trains, the times, how late, and where you should have arrived. Mark a claim as made, then as paid, or share a summary. QUIETER COACHES Where the train company counts how full each coach is, Platted shows the coaches, marks the quietest and says where the toilets are. Where there is no live count, it says how busy this train usually is and from which stop. ADD A JOURNEY FIVE WAYS • Forward your booking email to your own Platted address • Photograph your ticket, or choose a photo of it • Type it in and pick from the real trains near your time • Scan the platform board at the station • Pick the next train from the station you are at Regular journeys are added the night before, on the days you choose. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT KNOWS • Dim means not yet confirmed. Bright means confirmed. Red means it changed • "Usually 4 · 6 of 8" is the platform this train has used on its recent runs, from Platted's own record. It is never shown as confirmed • Once you are moving, you see your booked arrival and a likely range • Open any train to see what happened, in plain words QUIET UNTIL IT MATTERS One alert when your platform is confirmed, one if it changes, one as you near your stop, and an alert if your train is cancelled or starts running late. Choose which alerts you get in Settings.
