Live Radar Scanner At the heart of Radar is a real-time animated radar sweep that scans every wireless channel simultaneously for nearby people and devices. Unlike a simple contact list, Radar actively discovers peers around you right now - no accounts required, no central server needed. Radar scans using Bluetooth Low Energy, advertising your presence and detecting other devices within BLE range. It runs Wi-Fi Aware in parallel for direct phone-to-phone discovery with no router or internet needed - two phones in a field can find each other instantly. It also sweeps your local Wi-Fi network and relays through a configurable internet server when needed. Every discovered device appears as a blip on the radar screen. Tap any blip for a detail card - name, photo, device type, IP/MAC address, discovery channel, and estimated distance - then chat, view their profile, map them, or block them in one tap. Mesh Messaging & Voice - Every Channel, One Inbox Radar's messaging engine automatically routes each message over the best available path - Bluetooth LE, Wi-Fi Aware, local network, or internet relay - switching channels transparently if one goes down. Every Radar-to-Radar message is end-to-end encrypted by default, and strict guard mode can prevent unencrypted messages from ever being sent. Chat one-to-one or use Group Broadcast to message multiple contacts at once. Long-press messages for reactions, pinning, copy, delete, or resend, with delivery, acknowledgement, and read receipts per message, plus instant translation into your device language. Switch to Walkie-Talkie mode for push-to-talk voice over the mesh, or send recorded voice notes. Pair a Bluetooth speaker to turn your phone into a broadcast microphone for everyone in range. Send images, video, audio, or any file - large files are chunked for reliable mesh transfer and reassembled on arrival. Each card shows a live compass arrow and distance to nearby peers, updated every 500 ms, with a trust badge for verified contacts saved to your Android contacts. The built-in map plots known peer GPS positions in real time alongside indoor maps for supported venues. Layer in points of interest, hospitals, pharmacies, webcams, crowdsourced nearby photos, and business/residential phone pins you can tap to call directly.
