givers vient comme une approche de solution à la problématique de pénurie de sang dans les pays d'Afrique. Ce n'est plus un secret pour tout le monde. Nos établissements de santé en Afrique ont du mal à satisfaire la forte demande en poches de sang pour sauver les vies des enfants , des femmes, des accidentés, et de toutes ces personnes qui ont besoin d'une transfusion sanguine pour survivre. La principale raison est que le nombre de donneurs de sang est insuffisant. Cet état de choses peut être dû à une sensibilisation insuffisante sur le sujet. Dans ce sens, les systèmes de santé ainsi que de nombreuses organisations se sont mobilisées et se mobilisent pour changer les choses, en organisant régulièrement des campagnes de sensibilisation et de collecte de sang. C'est en appui à tous ces efforts que l'association à but non lucratif Givers for Health a pensé à une solution innovante. La startup efha Medicals, qui développe des solutions digitales destinées au domaine de la santé, a matérialisé cette solution qui se traduit par cette application mobile dénommé givers. Le but de givers est de donner des informations fiables sur le don de sang, et de permettre aussi bien aux donneurs qu'aux non-donneurs de jouer le rôle d'ambassadeur de don de sang. La finalité étant de contribuer à une augmentation du nombre de donneurs pour un temps soit peu palier à la problématique de pénurie de poches surtout en période de saison pluvieuse pendant laquelle sévit le paludisme source d'anémie sévère.
