This is the full game, with those house rules left in your hands. Twenty-four cards, a hundred and twenty points in the pack. Contracts start at 100 and go up in fives. Declare the highest and the three-card talon is yours, along with the promise to bring home every point you named. Hold the King and Queen of a suit, lead one of them, and that suit becomes trumps — 40 for spades, up to 100 for hearts. First to a thousand wins, if you can get past the barrel.
