Full description
You got your money back. But did you get its value back? A year ago, you lent someone 10,000. Today they returned every note — yet it buys less than it used to. Nobody cheated anybody. Ordinary currency can lose value while a debt record stays frozen. That is the silent problem with private lending: prices move, memories fade, papers disappear, messages get scattered, and a good deed can become an awkward money conversation. KATIB HELPS YOU WRITE IT DOWN Katib helps private parties write debt down in a value reference both sides can see from day one: gold, silver, or a supported hard currency such as USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, JPY, or AED. You record the amount the parties agreed, keep the selected reference attached to the agreement, and track repayments from one private loan workspace. HOW IT WORKS 1. Record the loan amount in a currency supported by the current app release. 2. Together, choose the value reference: gold, silver, or a supported hard currency. 3. Katib saves the selected reference and calculated quantity with the record. 4. At repayment, review installments, partial payments, remaining balance, and the latest available reference information. EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE • Create and manage private loan records denominated in gold, silver, or supported hard currencies. • Invite the other party, so both sides can review one shared record. • Capture the counterparty's response before a record becomes active. • Track installments, partial repayments, pending entries, and remaining balances. • Keep gold, silver, and exchange-rate reference details beside the agreement. • Use Katib in English or Arabic with right-to-left support. FAIR FOR BOTH SIDES The lender can see the value reference that was agreed. The borrower can review the same terms, amounts, dates, and repayment history. Clear records protect the money conversation and the relationship around it. “WRITE IT DOWN” Katib is inspired by a principle older than any currency: when there is a debt between people, write it down clearly and justly. “…write it down” (Al-Baqarah 2:282). WHO KATIB IS FOR • Family and friends documenting private lending agreements while protecting the relationship. • Shop owners and individuals replacing paper debt notebooks with a clearer digital debt tracker. • Anyone tired of watching a debt record ignore inflation, changing exchange rates, or the value reference both parties meant to use. Download Katib and keep every private loan record clear, shared, and easier to follow. Katib includes a Basic plan. Optional auto-renewing subscriptions unlock higher record and contact limits; localized prices and renewal terms are shown before purchase. IMPORTANT Katib is a recordkeeping tool only. It does not lend, fund, broker, arrange, recommend, approve, or collect a loan; match users with lenders; make credit decisions; hold, transfer, or exchange money or metals; connect bank accounts; or guarantee any agreement, repayment, buying power, or asset value. Recorded values and responses come from the parties. Reference prices and calculations may be delayed, estimated, incomplete, or unavailable. Acceptance in Katib records a party's response; it is not identity verification, notarization, or a guarantee that an agreement is valid or enforceable. Katib does not provide financial, legal, tax, credit, religious, or investment advice. Users are responsible for agreeing terms, checking calculations and reference rates, following applicable law, and deciding how an obligation is settled. Consider independent professional advice where appropriate.

What's new

Katib is now smoother from the first tap: easier Google sign-in, clearer account verification, and a cleaner bilingual experience for preserving private debt value with gold, silver, and currency references.
