RiseUp: NFC Alarm Clock

You hit snooze five times every morning. RiseUp puts an end to that: your alarm only stops once you scan a RiseUp tag that isn't next to your bed. HOW IT WORKS 1. Put your RiseUp tag where your morning should start. On the bathroom mirror, on the coffee machine, in the hallway. 2. The alarm rings on your lock screen until you get up and scan the tag. No switching it off from bed, no endless snoozing. Swiping it away does nothing, the alarm keeps coming back for over an hour. 3. A second scan shortly after makes sure you don't fall back into bed. How often is up to you: one to three rounds. The alarm notification has a second button next to Stop that starts tag detection right away. During the confirmation window you can use your phone as usual, a banner with a countdown leads you back. For housemates there is a mute button, once per ring, 30 to 120 seconds. WHEN YOU SLEEP SOMEWHERE ELSE Your tag stays at home, and when you spend the night elsewhere you don't have it with you. In the evening RiseUp notices from your location that your phone is not at home and asks by itself whether your tag came along. Say no and the next morning the alarm stops without a scan, and your streak stays. Only a circle of 400 meters around your home is watched, a yes or no is stored, no route and no history. You can also tell it yourself. ALWAYS IN VIEW • Home screen widget: when your next alarm rings and how your streak is doing. • Night check: in the evening RiseUp looks whether everything is ready for the morning. If a permission is missing, or an alarm points at a tag that no longer exists, it tells you the evening before. THE FEED CAN WAIT • Morning routine: RiseUp blocks apps you pick yourself for the first minutes after getting up. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, whatever else holds on to you. • The block starts with your first tag scan, not after the last confirmation. You set the duration. • You can switch it off at any time, every block lifts right away. Your own devices, no control by anyone else. YOUR PROGRESS, MADE VISIBLE • Streak counter: every morning without snoozing extends your run. Days without an alarm don't break it, milestones run from three days to the 100-day crown. • Time to tag: how long you take on average from the alarm to the tag, measured over your last fourteen mornings. • The history keeps rest days and nights away apart from mornings you really slept through. • Week overview, month calendar and year history. • Time saved: how much of your life you have already taken back from the snooze button. MADE FOR WAKING UP • Six carefully produced alarm sounds, or your own tone from your library • Alarm volume adjustable in the app, with a lower limit so the alarm stays an alarm • Repeat on the weekdays you choose • Your tag: a directory with location and last scan, several can be paired • Your own goals: written at setup, read back to you word for word in the morning • A guided tour explains everything, available any time in Settings • Emergency Stop for exceptions: exactly one per calendar month, with no way to get more. It leaves your streak standing but does not extend it. • German and English PRIVATE FROM THE START No account, no ads, no tracking. We run no server and see nothing of what you do. Your alarms and your streak live on your device and only travel through the backup of your own Google account. RiseUp is free. There is a single optional purchase: if your streak breaks, you can bring it back. No subscription, no feature depends on it. You need an Android phone with NFC and a RiseUp tag. Without a tag, RiseUp cannot be set up.
