Full description
Wumble is a voice client for Mumble, the open voice protocol that has carried gaming and community servers for twenty years. It connects to a server you choose. There is no Wumble account and no Wumble service. TALKING Hold the button to talk, or turn on voice activation and let it open when you speak. Join a channel, see who else is in it, and send messages to the room. HEADSETS Plug in a wired or USB headset during a call and the audio and the microphone both follow it. Connect a Bluetooth headset and the call moves there. Unplug and it comes back. If a headset connects but carries no sound, tap its name and the call moves on without it. SETTING YOUR LEVELS Two sliders: one for what you send, one for what you hear. A meter moves while you talk, so you can set your microphone without asking someone to listen. A test clip plays through the incoming path, which lets you hear what a boost does before a call depends on it. STAYING CONNECTED Calls run in a foreground service. Switch apps or lock your screen and you stay in the channel, with talk and hang-up buttons in the notification. SERVERS YOU TRUST Wumble remembers the certificate of every server you accept and warns you when one changes. Passwords go to Android's encrypted credential store rather than to a file. PRIVACY No account. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising. Nothing goes anywhere except the server you typed in. YOU BRING THE SERVER Wumble hosts nothing. Point it at a server a friend runs, one you host yourself, or any publicMumble server.
