SizeUp is a size comparison app for anyone who has ever wondered how Mount Everest really measures up against Burj Khalifa, or how many African elephants would stack up to the Statue of Liberty. It puts 36 of the world's most extreme mountains, oceans, rivers, cities, buildings, bridges, animals, vehicles, aircraft, ships, rockets and landmarks side by side at true scale, so numbers you have read a hundred times finally turn into something you can see. Pick any two to five objects and SizeUp draws them against a shared measurement axis. Switch between a list that spells out the ratio in plain words, a real-scale stack that shows the silhouettes at their actual relative heights, and a bar chart with a logarithmic toggle for when one object dwarfs everything else. Change the metric — height, length, depth, speed, area, population or weight — and the whole comparison recalculates instantly. Every object carries its real figures, where it is, what it is, a short history and a set of fun facts, so a quick comparison easily turns into ten minutes of reading.
