Full description
Compressed air is the most expensive utility per unit of work in a factory, and 20 to 30 percent of it typically leaks away. Everyone knows they have leaks. Almost nobody can say which ones are worth stopping a line to fix. Pitot is the survey sheet that answers that. Walk the plant, tag each leak as you find it, and the app does the rest. SIZE IT • Enter the equivalent orifice and the line pressure at the leak • Pitot computes the free-air flow through a choked-flow model that matches the published leak tables to within 2% • Pressure is per leak, not per plant — a regulated bench drop and the ring main leak very differently COST IT • Flow becomes kilowatts using YOUR compressor's specific power, not a generic constant • Kilowatts become money using your tariff and your LOADED hours — not the hours the machine is switched on. An unloaded compressor still draws a quarter of full power, and surveys that ignore that overstate the saving by a third FIX IT IN THE RIGHT ORDER This is the part a spreadsheet gets wrong. Sorted by air lost, the biggest leak comes first — and it is often on a guarded actuator that needs the line stopped and a fitter for an afternoon, while three worn couplings at a hose station are five minutes each. Pitot ranks by PAYBACK, and shows you the size order beside it so you can see exactly which leaks move and why. THE FREE WIN Every unnecessary bar of system pressure costs about 7% of compressor energy. Pitot reports what dropping the setpoint half a bar would save, right next to the leak total — often more than all the repairs, and it costs nothing but turning a dial. CLOSE THE LOOP • Record what each repair ACTUALLY cost, not what you estimated • The app reports its own estimate error, so next quarter's numbers are better • Rounds are compared against each other, so you can see whether the system is getting tighter KEEP IT ORGANISED • One search across leaks, assets and rounds • Filter by area, status, size or payback band; sort however you read • Multi-select to schedule or close out a batch together • Pin what matters; undo any delete YOUR DATA, YOURS • Export to CSV with the derived flow, cost and payback columns included • A plain-text report to paste into a work order • Full JSON backup and restore • Nothing is locked in BUILT FOR THE FLOOR Designed for cheap Android phones in industrial lighting: high contrast, large touch targets, monospaced figures that line up in a column, and status shown by icon and label as well as colour. The leak composer sits above the list so tagging never costs a navigation. 100% OFFLINE. NO ACCOUNT. NO TRACKING. Everything stays on your device. There is no sign-up, no server and no analytics. The app declares exactly one permission — INTERNET — used solely to open our privacy policy page from Settings. Our Play Data safety declaration is "no data collected, no data shared", and it is accurate. Free. No ads. No in-app purchases.
