Full description
Jot does one thing: it gets a thought out of your head before it evaporates. Tap the icon and the keyboard is already up. Type or speak. Save. Done — the whole thing takes under five seconds, because anything slower and the thought is gone. Jot was designed around how ADHD minds work: working memory is a leaky bucket, and the moment between having a thought and losing it is short. So there is no splash screen, no home screen, no folders, no tags, no mandatory anything. One field, one Save button. CAPTURE • The keyboard is up the moment the app opens — start typing immediately • Voice capture: tap the mic and dictate. Speech recognition runs entirely on your device (English) • A draft survives everything — switching apps, reboots, the app being killed. Half a thought is safe until you save it When you want to look back, the Timeline is there: everything you've captured, newest first, grouped by day. Entries can't be edited — Jot is a record of what you thought, not a document to fuss over. Delete, with undo, is the only change it allows. And it's yours. Your entries live on your phone and nowhere else, unless you choose to back them up to your own Google Account. No account to create, no ads, no analytics, no feed asking you to come back. A journal is private by nature; Jot is built like it. It was made because the developer needed it, and released in case you do too.

What's new

Initial release. A local-first journal: capture a thought in seconds. No accounts — entries stay on your device by default. Read them back anytime on the Timeline.
