SSY Engine: Glaucoma IOP

SSY Engine is a professional clinical-utility tool for ophthalmologists and other eye-care practitioners managing open-angle glaucoma. It helps clinicians estimate a target intraocular pressure (IOP) and visualise the potential "Save Sight Years" (SSY) associated with slowing visual field progression. SSY Engine is a calculation and visualisation aid. It does not diagnose disease, does not prescribe treatment, and does not replace clinical judgement. All decisions remain the responsibility of the treating clinician. WHAT IT DOES - Estimates the Rate of Progression (RoP) from a series of visual field measurements using least-squares linear regression. - Supports Humphrey (Visual Field Index, %) and Octopus (Mean Defect, dB) perimetry inputs. - Calculates a target IOP based on a clinician-entered measured IOP and a desired change in progression rate. - Visualises the "Save Sight Years" gained by comparing the current progression trend with a simulated, slower trend. - Presents results in clear graphs designed for use during clinical review. - Lets you optionally email a results summary to yourself or a colleague. WHO IT IS FOR SSY Engine is intended for ophthalmologists, optometrists and other qualified eye-care professionals. It is a decision-support and educational utility for use within professional clinical workflows. It is not intended for use by patients for self-assessment. BASED ON PUBLISHED METHODOLOGY The calculations follow established methodology from the peer-reviewed glaucoma literature, including the relationship between IOP reduction and the rate of visual field progression. The tool is designed to make these calculations fast, transparent and repeatable at the point of care. PRIVACY BY DESIGN The clinical values you enter are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to us unless you actively choose to email a results summary.
