NÖVA: learn Swedish with news

Live in Sweden. Live in Swedish. A Swedish tutor that talks with you about today's news. Read today's story in simple Swedish. Say what you think in Swedish, out loud or typed. She talks back and asks you more. Made for adults in Sweden who are learning Swedish, roughly A2 to C1, whether you are in SFI, just past it, or have lived here for years and want to join the conversation. Every morning NÖVA retells about a dozen of the day's real Swedish news stories, and more arrive in the evening. They are written for about B1, and many come out a little easier or harder. Tell her your level and she talks with you at it, starting you on the story closest to it. You do not need to understand every word. Easy Swedish news for learners is a good start, but reading is only half of it. NÖVA adds the other half: after a story she asks what you think, so you get Swedish conversation practice about something real, every day. When something in your Swedish is clearly wrong, she points it out, one or two things at a time. When it is right, she simply keeps the conversation going. While you read: • Tap any word to see what it means. • Listen to the story read aloud. • Translate it into your own language when you are stuck. No streaks, no points, no quizzes, no reminders. Nothing is scored. Start without an account. Sign in when you want NÖVA to keep your conversations. NÖVA's replies and corrections are written by AI language models. They help with your Swedish but are not guaranteed proofreading, and they can be wrong. You can report a wrong or offensive reply in the app. NÖVA writes its own short retelling of each story from Swedish news outlets and links to the original article.
