Full description
TripTot answers the question every parent hears on every trip: "Are we there yet?" You set the trip up once, hand the phone to the back seat, and your child watches a friendly animated scene that fills up as you get closer. A little car driving to a house, a bunny hopping to a giant carrot, a rocket flying to the Moon, a fish swimming to a treasure chest, a train puffing to the station, a sailing boat heading for a palm island, a hot-air balloon crossing the countryside, a puppy chasing its ball to the doghouse, or a big rainbow bar with percentages for older kids. When you arrive, confetti rains down. EVERY SCENE SHOWS WHERE THE END IS Each picture has a chequered finish line exactly where the journey ends, and a row of dots along the way. The dots light up one by one, so even a child who cannot read yet can see how much is left. THREE WAYS TO RUN IT • By place — type the destination address or pick a saved favourite, choose car or on foot, and TripTot follows your GPS position. Progress never goes backwards, so a detour will not upset anyone. • By time — no GPS and no signal needed. Set departure and arrival, and the picture fills up with the clock. • Remotely over Bluetooth — one parent phone with a signal can drive one or more child phones without one. The children's tablets or old phones show the same scene and the same progress, and the parent can go back to using their own phone. It keeps running from a notification you can end the whole trip from. MADE FOR THE BACK SEAT • The screen stays on and every touch is ignored, so small fingers cannot close anything. • The picture stays visible even over a locked phone, and with app pinning the Home and Back buttons do nothing either. • A parent exits by holding the little lock in the corner for three seconds. • The picture turns to landscape and stays there, because the movement is easier to follow. • Remaining time and a percentage with a growing pie chart can be switched on for kids who already count. TRY IT BEFORE THE TRIP A thirty second demo runs the whole journey at high speed, so you can pick a scene together with your child at home. SIMPLE AND HONEST • No ads, no accounts, no tracking, nothing to buy. • Your location is used only on your phone to draw the picture. It is never sent anywhere. • Time mode works completely offline. Searching for an address needs the internet, the trip itself does not. • Favourite places such as grandma, school or the cottage stay in your phone. • Bluetooth is used only to send the progress to the child phones you paired yourself. • Light and dark theme, and eighteen languages: English, Czech, Slovak, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hindi. TripTot is a tool for parents. You set it up, your child just watches. Have a calm trip.

What's new

• Fixes for Remote mode, where one parent phone drives the trip on the children's phones. • Ending a trip now really ends it — the "trip in progress" card no longer comes back. • The connection recovers on its own after Bluetooth is switched off and on, or after the app is closed. • A trip measured by GPS keeps the child phones moving even when the parent leaves the app. • On the parent phone, settings that belong to the child phones are now greyed out.
