Full description
The phone companion for VertMatch on the UNA Watch: pick climbs and routes on your phone, send them to your wrist, and get your runs back off it afterwards. Climbs on the watch Search a map for climbs, choose the ones you care about, and send them over Bluetooth. On the watch they become a screen that shows where the nearest starts are, and turns into the climb itself the moment you are on one: profile, position, how far to the top and how much ascent is left. Routes Import a GPX file, or open one from your files, a browser or an email, and send it to the watch together with the VertMatch climbs on and near it. The watch shows the route ahead, the part you have already run and the paths around it, with the distance and climbing left, and it buzzes when you leave the route, when you are back on it and when you finish. The map around a route is downloaded once from OpenStreetMap and kept on your phone. Your runs Runs recorded with VertMatch come across from the watch, are drawn as the shape they were, and stay on your phone. If you enter your own intervals.icu athlete ID and API key, the app can upload each new run there automatically. Your data screens Choose which figures the watch shows during a run and how many fit on each screen, then send the layout to the watch. The watch app itself The app installs and updates VertMatch on the watch over Bluetooth, with no cable. The transfer takes a few minutes, runs in the background with a notification, and is checked against the watch's own checksum before anything old is removed. What you need • Android 8.0 or newer. • A UNA Watch running firmware 1.4.0 or newer, paired in your phone's Bluetooth settings. • UNA's own companion app can stay installed alongside this one. What the app talks to • Your watch, over Bluetooth. The app only changes its own folder and files it created, and never touches the watch's firmware update directory. • intervals.icu, only after you enter your own credentials, and only to upload your own runs. • The VertMatch climb service, when you search for climbs or import a route. • OpenFreeMap, for the maps shown in the app, and public Overpass API servers for the paths around a route. Both serve OpenStreetMap data. Your runs and your intervals.icu key stay on your phone. There are no ads, no analytics and no account to create. VertMatch for UNA is in active development. It is useful today, and it will keep changing. Tell us what breaks. "UNA" and "UNA Watch" are trademarks of UNA Watch Ltd. What's new

First release on Google Play. Follow GPX routes on your watch, with the VertMatch climbs on and near them sent along. Open a GPX straight from any app. New maps with named peaks and a proper dark map. Includes watch app 1.0.1: numbers no longer run into their units, and a run over an hour shows its hours. Clearer, more consistent screens throughout, and they work at large font sizes.
