Full description
Augmented Theatre turns every phone in the audience into part of the stage design. During a live performance, the production's show-control server sends cues over the venue's Wi-Fi network, and every audience device answers at once — in perfect sync with the performance: • Titles and text — any line, any language, pushed to every screen mid-scene • Sound and film — embedded or cloud-delivered media played across the whole house • Light — a thousand screens flash one colour; a thousand torches become stage light • Touch — vibration cues reach into the audience's hands • Camera effects — live feeds through rain, heat and Dziga Vertov filters • Cloud media — new media deploys to the entire audience in the background The app premiered in the first Russian augmented-theatre production at the Meyerhold Theatre Center, Moscow, in 2016, and is show-agnostic: any production can drive it with standard OSC cues (Isadora, QLab, TouchDesigner, or any OSC sender). For theatre makers: setup instructions, a demo Isadora patch and the complete OSC cue reference are at https://augmented-theatre.web.app Note: outside of a live performance the app shows its idle animation and plays demo content. The full experience happens in the theatre, driven live from the stage.
