Mejo: Photos & Memories

Your photos. Your stories. Your moments. A photo shows what it looked like. It doesn't show what you were laughing about that evening, how the place smelled, or why the day mattered. That is the part that goes first. Mejo is where the two come back together: your pictures and what you remember about them — your second memory, with storage of your own and no advertising. YOUR SECOND MEMORY Write down what a picture can't hold: the name of the restaurant, the thing your child said, the reason for the trip. Notes sit among your photos as entries of their own, right where they belong. A pile of files becomes a story you will still understand in ten years — and one you can pass on. ORGANIZATION THAT KEEPS UP • Collections for trips, occasions or people — photos, videos and notes side by side • Sorted for you: give a collection a period or a place, and new photos and videos land in it on their own • Tags, including for many items at once • Timeline and map view: find shots by period or place • Cleanup assistant: Mejo finds duplicates as well as blurred and underexposed shots and suggests them for deletion — nothing is decided without you AUTOMATIC BACKUP A memory is only worth having if nothing falls out of it. Mejo backs up new photos and videos from your phone's gallery in the background. Transfers keep running while you use your phone and resume where they left off after an interruption. YOUR ORIGINALS STAY ORIGINALS Mejo uploads the original file, not a downscaled copy. Capture date, camera model and location stay intact — exactly the information a sorted archive is built from later. SHARING ON YOUR TERMS Share a whole collection through a link — with the notes in it, not just the pictures. You decide whether a password is required, when the link expires, and whether recipients may add pictures of their own. That way the memory of a weekend together grows by everyone else's photos. Anyone opening the link needs no account. AN EASY MOVE Bring existing collections over from OneDrive. The import runs in the background and keeps you posted on its progress. THE BROWSER TOO Mejo is an app and a website. Write and sort at your computer, carry everything with you on the go — the same photos, collections and shared links. In the browser, Mejo also takes RAW files (DNG), TIFF, AVIF and JPEG XL as originals. STORAGE AND SUBSCRIPTION After 14 days to try things out, you pick a plan: Starter with 20 GB, or Flex with 100, 200, 500 or 1000 GB. Subscriptions run monthly or yearly and renew automatically until you cancel — any time in your Google Play subscription settings. Prices are shown before you buy. YOUR DATA If you are putting your memory somewhere, you should know where that somewhere is. Mejo is developed in Germany; your photos and videos are transferred encrypted and stored on servers in Germany. There is no advertising and no tracking, Mejo does not sell your material and does not use it to train AI. To display place names, the coordinates stored in the image are sent to a mapping service. You can download your collections as originals at any time — even after your subscription ends, there is time to do so. And you can delete your account and all of its files yourself at any time. Why Mejo needs access to your photos: to back them up, the app has to notice pictures that only arrive after setup. The location permission exists solely so that the place information stored in the image is backed up along with it — Mejo does not track your location.
