Before you send that screenshot, look at what else is in it. There is no layer to peel back and no hidden original underneath, which is what makes it safe to send. YOUR PHOTOS STAY ON YOUR PHONE Text recognition, face detection and code scanning run on the device, with the models inside the app. No image is uploaded, there is no account to create, and nothing about your photo is sent anywhere. Everything except the ads works with no connection at all — try it in flight mode. METADATA REMOVED An exported copy leaves the EXIF data behind: where the photo was taken, on which camera, and when.
