Full description
Take a photo of the problem. Civia writes the complaint in formal language and sends it to the institution responsible for it. When they reply, you find out on your phone. A pothole, cars parked on the sidewalk, a street light out for a month, uncollected garbage. Say what happened the way you would tell a neighbour, add a photo and point to the spot on the map. Civia writes the formal text, addresses it to the city hall, the local police or the right institution, and emails it on your behalf. On the public page of your complaint, faces and licence plates in the photos are blurred automatically. You get a tracking code. You can see when the complaint was registered, what the institution answered and how long it took. We read the reply from the institution's email and send you a notification, so you don't have to keep checking. By law, Romanian institutions have 30 days to answer (Government Ordinance no. 27/2002). If the deadline passes with no answer, Civia shows you what you can do next. The ranking shows which city halls and local police departments actually reply, and how many of their replies say something concrete rather than just "registered". It is built from the real replies received, not from reputation. On the map you can see the public complaints in your city, each with its status. If your problem has already been reported, you can send it too, so it carries more weight. You can also sign civic petitions and request public information (Law 544/2001) from the app. Civia is free and has no ads. It takes no money from city halls, political parties or the government. No password needed: you sign in with a link sent by email, and you can delete your account at any time from settings. The light or dark theme follows your phone. The home screen widget takes you straight to a new complaint or to the ones you have already sent. Civia is an independent civic platform. It is not a public institution and does not represent any state authority. The app is in Romanian.
