Trueshot GPS Tracker

Trueshot Tracker is a GPS-based golf application designed to help golfers track their shots, measure distances, and analyze performance both during and after a round. It works by loading existing Courses or using a Free Map for tracking games without course data. The application uses the smartphone built-in GPS receiver with some advanced positioning features, such as the GPS status and accuracy information for allowing golfers to evaluate how reliable are the measurements made. The application includes the following main features: - Register shots positions and measure their distances (for post analysis); - Measure real time distances, taking actual position to the centre of the greens (decide the best club to use) and from the last shot (aid for searching lost balls); - Track the golfer walking activity; - Analyse their games history and visualize the shots’ path and distances for each game - Export shot locations to an external geospatial file to enable the golfer to analyze their shots using a third-party tool, such as Google Earth. The file will be available in KML or GPX (GPS Exchange Format) format at trueshot-tracker directory from the mobile storage card. The current version works with "free" maps (OSM and Satellite maps) allowing golfers to track their game without a course. Nonetheless, the application's best experience is with "Courses" and thus it currently offers several course mappings in Spain, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Portugal and United States. If your course is not available yet, request a new mapping to [email protected]. You need to become a registered user for saving your games remotely and keeping your track history between devices. The application includes a companion smartwatch app for Wear OS that relies on the mobile phone app to operate properly. Distance measurements are calculated using the phone’s GPS, while strokes can be recorded during gameplay through the smartwatch interface when it is connected to the phone. The smartwatch features will be unavailable without an active connection to the paired smartphone.
